We also launched the first public showing of REPIXX. The big official opening is still Fri Nov 14th at Argyle Fine Art though!!!!

I'm nominated for Visual Artist of the Year at the Music Nova Scotia 2008 Awards.
Photopolis is about to officially start!! It's a city-wide photography festival here in Halifax. I did the design and main photo used to market the festival.
As part of Photopolis, I'm having a group show called REPIXX. This show will feature the work of 15 visual artists who will create original works of art that are inspired by
my music photography. The artists will be working in a variety of mediums including painting, ceramic and fibre sculpture, illustrations and mixed media.
Each artist was supplied with a photo and the simple mandate to “create”! Come see the results as these fantastic new pieces are displayed alongside the photos that inspired them.

The Coast's Best of Music reader's poll results were announced today. I got Best Music Photographer for the second year in a row.
Also, Bloodbath, my horror movie soundtrack band, won 3rd for Best Hijinks and 3rd Best Cover Band!

The East Coast Music Association's Music Award Nominations came out today. I'm happy to say that 14 groups/artists I've worked with got nominated for a total of 29 nominations!!!! Congrats gang!!!

I won Visual Artist of the Year again at the Music Nova Scotia Awards this past weekend!!! I had so much fun! If anyone found my battered liver back in Liverpool please ship it on over to me.
I also got 1st Runner Up for Best Photographer in Halifax in The Coast's Best of Halifax Reader's Poll. It's been an awesome week.

Nova Scotia Music Week starts this Thursday. If you're gonna be there, I'll be having a photo exhibition at WhitePoint from Fri-Sun. I'll be speaking on a panel too.
WhitePoint is absolutely beautiful!!! I can't wait to get to my cabin, crack a beer and watch the bunnies hop around.

The Halifax Pop Explosion just ended. Throughout the week I had a solo photo exhibition, chaired a talk on Graphic Design and shot bands for 5 days straight. An awesome week!!!!

The Music Nova Scotia award nominations were anounced this week and I'm up for Visual Artist of the Year again. I won last year. Wish me luck for a repeat.

Check it out... I won BEST LOCAL MUSIC PHOTOGRAPHER at The Coast's Best of Music awards. The actual award is an old 8 Track... pretty damn cool huh? After the awards a big o'le crowd of us got smashed and did karaoke. I sang Add it up by the Violent Femmes.
